List of features
A list of features included in this Serious Sam patch. Features marked with Steam in the beginning exist in the official Steam patch. Some of these features can be toggled in the new menu under Options -> EXE Patch Options in-game.

SteamAspect ratio button, separating resolutions into different lists. -
Steam*More screen resolutions. Includes 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and 21:9 resolutions as well as other resolutions of similar formats in those lists, such as 5:4 (under 4:3) and 3:2 (under 16:10). -
Borderless window mode. "Fullscreen" switch has been replaced with the "Window Mode" that includes "Window", "Borderless" and "Fullscreen" options.

Custom FOV command that works in all gamemodes. Limited to the 60-110 range.

SteamFOV patching based on aspect ratio. Works on top of custom FOV. -
Toggleable red screen on damage.

Levels from other games on Serious Engine 1 (such as Nitro Family or Serious Sam Revolution) can now be safely stored in the game folder without crashing the game on start but they cannot be played.

Up to 255 characters for editing player names and teams in-game.

Menu elements now scale according to the window height instead of width (which previously made everything look too big with very little gaps).

Steam*Working server list via new query manager. Supports 3 different protocols: Legacy, DarkPlaces, GameAgent. -
Command for checking what FOV is currently set.

Removed "Waiting for server to continue" message from demos after changing levels.

Steam*Fixed mip distances on wider resolutions that caused things to disappear sooner on the same vertical FOV. -
Reworked "Wide screen" functionality that fixes HUD display on wider resolutions (enabled by default).

Steam*Weapon viewmodel FOV is now adjusted according to the aspect ratio. -
Separation of config options (such as
Game Optionsor configs inAdvanced Options) into groups under different option tabs for easier navigation.
- Lack of 21:9 and other resolutions.
- Only one master server protocol.
- Mip distance adjustments are broken.
- Weapon viewmodel positions are being changed instead of the FOV.
